Changelog

Dated, developer-facing changes to the API and SDK.

Every developer-facing change, dated. Breaking changes never land in v1; see the versioning policy for how deprecations and sunsets are announced.

    2026-10-07 — v1: initial release

The first stable version of the FomoData API, TypeScript SDK, webhooks and streams. Live data is available by approval during the private beta; the sandbox is open to everyone.

    Added
    • Versioned REST API under /v1 with API-key auth (fd_test_ / fd_live_), least-privilege scopes and X-FomoData-Request-Id on every response.
    • Profiles: GET /v1/profiles/{ref} and GET /v1/profiles lookup by id, handle or Fomo user id.
    • Theses: GET /v1/theses with handle, profile, token, chain, time-window, since and sort filters; GET /v1/theses/{id}.
    • Thesis verification: POST /v1/verify/thesis checks identity, token, time window, existence and deletion, and never judges content.
    • Tokens: GET /v1/tokens/{ref}, /activity and /thesis-velocity, with metrics_scope: "ingested".
    • Search: GET /v1/search, Postgres full-text over the locally authorized index.
    • Events: GET /v1/events and GET /v1/events/{id}. Event types: thesis.created, profile.updated, token.activity, token.thesis_velocity.
    • Webhooks: HMAC-SHA256 signed deliveries (FomoData-Signature), a retry schedule of 1 min, 5 min, 30 min, 2 h and 12 h, delivery logs and replay with the same event id.
    • Streams: WebSocket /v1/stream with subscription filters and cursor resume, plus Server-Sent Events at GET /v1/events/stream.
    • Sandbox: test keys see labelled sandbox data (livemode: false, source: "sandbox"); POST /v1/test/theses creates project-scoped test theses.
    • Cursor pagination, standard error envelope with doc_url, per-plan rate limits with X-RateLimit-* headers.
    • OpenAPI 3.1 document at /openapi.json and the @fomodata/sdk TypeScript package.
