Getting startedv1 · REST · SDK · Streams

Build on top of Fomo.

FomoData turns Fomo profiles, Trade Theses, token activity and realtime events into a versioned REST API, a TypeScript SDK, signed webhooks and streams.

You should never have to think about scraping, Fomo internals, normalization, rate limits, odd identifiers, webhook retries or caching. That is FomoData's job. You get stable schemas, stable ids and one key.

app.ts
import { FomoData } from "@fomodata/sdk";

const fomo = new FomoData({ apiKey: process.env.FOMODATA_API_KEY });

const theses = await fomo.theses.list({
  token: "$RUN",
  since: "1h"
});

Base URL

Every public endpoint is versioned. Breaking changes ship as a new version and never silently.

Test and live environments

Every key belongs to one environment. Responses carry livemode and source, so you can always tell sandbox fixtures from real data.

KeyDataWho can use it
fd_test_…Sandbox fixtures and your own test theses. livemode: false, source: "sandbox".Everyone, right after sign-up.
fd_live_…Live Fomo data via an authorized upstream integration. livemode: true, source: "fomo".Projects approved for live access during the private beta.

Sandbox data is always labelled

Test keys never see live data and live keys never see sandbox data. Sandbox handles start with @sbx_, and test events carry test: true when you generated them.

What's available

Not available yet, and marked as such wherever they appear:

  • Semantic search (POST /v1/search/semantic) Coming soon
  • Python and Go SDKs Coming soon
  • CLI (npx fomodata login, keys create, listen) Coming soon
  • Wallets API (GET /v1/wallets/{ref}), only once public wallet associations are authorized Coming soon

Conventions

  • JSON everywhere, snake_case fields, ISO-8601 UTC timestamps, and an object discriminator on every top-level object.
  • Stable prefixed ids: fp_ profiles, th_ theses, tk_ tokens, evt_ events, wh_ webhooks, key_ keys, proj_ projects. Upstream ids are kept separately and never leak into the public schema.
  • Lists are cursor-paginated: { "object": "list", "data": [...], "next_cursor": "…", "has_more": true }. See pagination.
  • Errors use one envelope with a machine-readable code and a request_id. See errors.
  • Every response includes X-FomoData-Request-Id. Authenticated responses include X-RateLimit-* headers.
  • Freshness is explicit: updated_at, source_updated_at, and stale: true when cached data is served because the upstream was unreachable.
