Terms of use
FomoData provides a developer API, SDK, webhooks and streams over normalized Fomo data obtained through an authorized upstream integration. By creating an account or using an API key you agree to these terms.
- Beta service. FomoData is in private beta and provided as is. Features can change; breaking API changes follow the versioning policy.
- Your keys. You are responsible for keeping API keys and webhook secrets confidential and for activity on your keys. Revoke a key immediately if it leaks.
- Live access. Live data is available by approval during the private beta. Approval can be withdrawn, and live data can become unavailable, if upstream authorization changes.
- Acceptable use. Don't circumvent rate limits or quotas, share or resell keys, probe other customers' data, point webhooks at systems you don't control, or use the data to harass or impersonate anyone.
- No advice. Theses are opinions posted by Fomo users. FomoData does not evaluate their quality or accuracy, and nothing in the API or on this site is financial or investment advice.
- Liability. To the extent the law allows, FomoData is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including losses from relying on upstream data or on service availability.
Privacy
About you, the developer, FomoData stores only what it needs to run the service:
- Account email, name and a salted password hash; organization, project and membership records.
- API key display prefixes and keyed hashes (never the raw key), and encrypted webhook secrets.
- Request logs (method, path without the query string, status, latency, key name, request id and a hashed IP address), kept for 30 days. Authorization headers and secrets are never logged.
- Usage counters for billing and limits. If paid billing is enabled, payments are handled by the payment processor; card numbers never touch FomoData.
The dashboard uses an httpOnly session cookie. The docs remember your preferred code tab in local storage, and the playground keeps a pasted test key in this tab's session storage only. FomoData uses no advertising trackers.
About Fomo users, FomoData keeps only public profile metadata and public theses received through its authorized integration: never emails, private messages, session data, balances or PnL. Profile and thesis deletion requests are handled by tombstoning the affected records. The upstream provides no deletion signal, so deletions are handled on request rather than detected automatically. Derived data is retained for up to 365 days.
Independence
FomoData is an independent developer platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FOMO Labs Inc. Fomo is a trademark of its owner and is used only to describe compatibility.
FomoData does not claim official access, a partnership or an endorsement. FOMO Labs publishes no public API; FomoData never scrapes fomo.family or uses Fomo's private endpoints.
Data provenance
Every object carries source (fomo, sandbox or fomodata for derived events), livemode, and freshness fields (updated_at, source_updated_at, stale). Sandbox data is always labelled and never presented as real Fomo activity. Metrics are scoped to what FomoData has ingested (metrics_scope: "ingested"). Details: data sources.
Attribution
If your app displays live data from FomoData, credit Fomo as the origin and keep the public links the API provides (profile_url, fomo_url) where you show profiles and tokens. Don't use Fomo's or FomoData's marks in a way that suggests endorsement, and don't present your app as Fomo.
